Building a Successful Dutch-Romanian Tech Cooperation is an event of the Netherlands Romanian Chamber of Commerce (NRCC) organized on 3 March 2017 in the Senate Room of the University Politehnica of Bucharest.

Mr. Sebastiaan van Hese, President of NRCC and Director of Fokker Engineering Romania, together with Mr. Mihnea Costoiu, the Rector of UPB, presided the event.

Companies Philips, ORTEC and Fokker Engineering România presented 3 case studies regarding the cooperation with the University Politehnica of Bucharest, Faculty of Medical Engineering, Faculty of Automatic Control and Computer Science and Faculty of Aerospace Engineering.

The Protocol between Fokker Engineering Romania and UPB – Faculty of Aerospace Engineering establishes the Fokker Academy program, among others.

Rienk Timmerman, Director of Fokker Aerostructures (the Netherlands), a GKN Aerospace company and Conf. dr. ing. Octavian Thor Pleter, Dean of the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering, signing the agreement on Fokker Academy, where the students are trained by Fokker experts in the practical engineering of aircraft structures. The training program is scheduled in the 2nd Semester of the UY 2016-2017.
