Since its beginning, the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering organized a long awaited event for the students: the flight training at the end of the second year of study. This tradition was discontinued in the late 90’s, only to be brought back recently with the aid of the Ministry of National Education, Romanian Air Club and the Alumni Politehnica Aerospace Engineering non-profit association.

We thus invite you to take part in the experience every single aerospace engineer dreams about: flight, all in order to better understand and grasp the loads and forces studied through the years.

Regardless of your past flight experience, we invite you to apply at inginerie.aerospatiala@upb.ro  until Tuesday 6th of August for one of the 60 available places.

Flight training is an elective (extracurricular) activity at Clinceni Airfield, and will take place in the first three weeks of September. Only 2nd year students with a credit score of 116 points or more will be accepted. If more than 60 students will apply, participants will be chosen based on their grade. Organization Team includes volunteer students Diana Andreea Sterpu and Vlad Buta.
