The 8th Edition of the Air Navigation Convention 2017 International Conference was hosted by the Faculty of Aerospace Engineering of the University Politehnica of Bucharest on 23-24 March 2017.
The event was organized with the UPB-FAE students in the Radu Voinea AN010 amphiteatre. The opening speech was addressed by Prorerctor Prof. dr. ing. Tudor Prisecaru and Dean Conf. dr. ing. Octavian Thor Pleter.
The Air Navigation and Air Transport Engineering program students and alumni participated, and also experts and managers of international organizations (ICAO, Eurocontrol) and companies for the United Kingdom, United States, Belgium, Portugal, Germany, Italy, Switzerland and Austria.
The 8th Edition had as guests of honour captain pilots Andreea Lițescu, Dan Ștefănescu, Cătălin Prunariu and Valer Novac.
Eng. Peter Stastny (ATM Consultants) and Eng. Răzvan Mărgăuan (EUROCONTROL) were the laureates of the Air Navigation Award 2017.

The participants at the Air Navigation Convention 2017 got a list with the jobs of the first series of graduates of Air Navigation and Air Transport Engineering.
